"Aluth Awurudu Uthsawaya” is an annually organized cultural event by QSUM , to celebrate our Sinhala and Hindu New Year which falls in the middle of April month. Sinhala and Hindu New Year reflects prosperity, peace, and happiness which is celebrated by Sri Lankan communities worldwide. Aluth Auwudu Uthsawaya was inaugurated in 2018 as a very special event for our community to gather around and celebrate the new year with our QSUM families and friends. This was a family bonding event with many cultural programmes and fun activities which enhanced our relationships and provided an opportunity to celebrate our new year along with fellow QSUM members. This fun filling cultural event consisted of many entertaining activities and games as well as Cultural Dances and Village Dramas.
